Prosperity’s Fish Fry-Days Return February 12

Prosperity Social Club’s Friday Lenten menu returns February 12th through March 25th and the Cleveland pub is once again ready to show that going without “meat” doesn’t mean going hungry. “Our ‘Big Fish Fry’ is definitely the perennial favorite,” says Prosperity’s Bonnie Flinner. The seasonal staple features a generous portion of flaky haddock covered in a fluffy blanket of beer batter and complemented by crunchy homemade coleslaw, zesty house tartar sauce and rich, creamy old-school-style mac and cheese ($13.95).

Fish Fry-Days get more popular every year. The kitchen will be preparing fish fry specials from 11am until 2am to meet demand and accommodate late-night and midday diners.

New this year, the Social Club is introducing a pan-seared tilapia dressed in zippy chimichurri sauce and served with sautéed spinach and coconut rice ($12.95).

Diners hungering for more can always add two homemade potato pierogi ($5) or a piping hot cup ($3.95) or bowl ($5.25) of made-from-scratch New England clam chowder to any fish dish. Or they can order a “Gotta Haddock.” This supersized fish fry—with a scoop of mac and cheese, a side of slaw, a cup of chowder AND two potato pierogi with caramelized onions and a dollop of sour cream—has it all for

Lunch-goers small-fry options include a fish sandwich with handcut potato chips ($9) or the “Tadpole,” featuring two (2) pieces of fish, slaw, chips and tartar sauce

“We’ll have the easy drinking Platform Brewing Palesner on tap for five dollars a pint,” says Flinner. “The Cleveland brewed pilsner/pale ale blend complements the hand-battered, homemade goodness our chef is cooking up.”
