Polish Breakfast and Orange Whipp Coming Soon

Prosperity Social Club Opens for Brunch Beginning Mid-September

Not quite breakfast and not quite lunch, brunch is a delightful treat and a great way to relax and reconnect on a weekend afternoon. Where better to gather with friends and family for a satisfying midday meal than cozy neighborhood pub on Cleveland’s near west side? Prosperity Social Club is adding brunch to its menu of offerings. Beginning September 20th, Prosperity will be open Saturdays and Sundays, 10:30am-3:30pm. “Prosperity Social Club’s Chef Ed Kubitz has created an outstanding menu; from hearty omelets, benedicts, southern style biscuit dishes to fried breakfast fruit pies with cheesecake frosting. These are dishes that are in line with Prosperity’s ongoing commitment to serving quality comfort food favorites cooked from scratch and offered at affordable prices,” says owner Bonnie Flinner. Indoor and outdoor seating is available during the fair weather months.

Savory or sweet, vegetarian or solidly carnivorous, Prosperity Social Club is cooking up an array of brunch selections to suit any taste. “Biscuits and gravy, breakfast benedicts, and empanadas—we’ll have the hearty home cooking covered,” Flinner explains. Other tempting brunch fare such as our Polish Breakfast (popular on our late night menu) with potato pierogies, smoked kielbaski, herbed scrambled eggs, peppered bacon and Stadium Mustard Hollandaise, is sure to be a hit for the daytime diner. Featured specials such as crème brulee French toast with poached pear compote or savory sausage pancakes will rotate through weekly as “chalkboard specials.”

And, whether diners want to start off their Saturday or Sunday with a light libation or could benefit from a little of “hair of the dog,” a complementary list of alcoholic and non-alcoholic “day drinking” concoctions is planned. Prosperity Social Club’s award-winning Bloody Mary mix will be accompanied by a selection of cocktails created specifically for the brunch-time crowd. “Our already popular house Sangria will be a brunch standard,” says Flinner who expects the pub’s new Orange Whipp to quickly become a brunch-time craze. “It features a daily dose of Vitamin C with the kick of Amaretto, Bulleit Bourbon and brandied cherries.” Prosperity Social Club will also offer infused vodka cocktails, champagne sippers and fruit-based, non-alcoholic coolers.

Prosperity Social Club’s regular dinner menu will begin at 4pm on weekends. With Weekend Brunch service ending at 3:30pm, it is a perfect fit for service industry workers and sunny afternoon loungers.
